A Lot to Celebrate

by Joel Brown, October 2, 2015

Here we are in the midst of the Jewish holiday season. We’ve just celebrated Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, we’re in the midst of Sukkot and very soon it will be Simchat Torah. This time of year always reminds us that there is so much to celebrate.

This year, Solel has even more to celebrate than usual. Our new Rabbi, Audrey Pollack and her family are settling in and getting to know their new extended Jewish family. Scores of Solelniks are busy preparing for another year full of all the things that make Solel so special to us. Our school, Bet Sefer Solel is gearing up for a new year of fun and learning. There will be many great opportunities for adult education as well, including Rabbi Pollack’s adult Torah study and many other programs organized by our tireless Director of Education, Arliene Botnick.

Whether it’s through education, or friendships, a sense of community or of spiritual fulfilment, Solel gives us an opportunity to come together and share something very special. It’s the start of a new Jewish year. I look forward to joining with you in continuing to build upon everything that we have to celebrate here at Solel.
